Sunday’s opening concert, Meditations on Faith and Love, filled the Georgetown Public Library with extraordinary music and heartfelt reflection.Dr. Michael Hix (baritone), Andrew Brownell (pianist)
and Julianne We nee (oboist) delivered a moving performance of J. S. Bach’s Cantata BWV 82, “Ich habe genug,” alongside works by Gerald Finzi and Johannes Brahms — setting a beautiful tone for our 2026 season.

We’re deeply grateful to everyone who joined us for this inspiring afternoon and to the Friends of the Georgetown Public Library for their generous support.

The celebration of Bach and beyond continues next month with four concerts in June — each offering its own unique musical journey. Tickets are available now attexasbachfestival.org.
Join us as the Texas Bach Festival 2026 season unfolds — and experience the artistry, joy, and community that make these performances so special.

Dear Texas Bach Festival Friends,

We are delighted to share this week’s Artist Spotlight, featuring our June 24 concert, “Bach’s Lunch,” with violinist Patrice Calixte and pianist Rick Rowley. This 11am program will showcase their exceptional artistry, along with a beautiful selection of works they will perform. Their full bios and photos are available on our website for those who would like to learn more about their backgrounds and musical journeys.

As always, we encourage you to secure your concert tickets and, if you are able, consider supporting the Festival through our donations page. Your generosity helps us continue presenting world‑class performances in our community.

Following the concert, we will once again host our popular luncheon at City Post Chophouse. This has become a favorite tradition over the past few years, and we are excited to offer it again. The luncheon is limited to 35 attendees and is Dutch Treat. We will gather in the CPC upper room and enjoy a special menu prepared just for our group, including beverages.

Patrice, Rick, and I will all be in attendance, and guests will have the opportunity to meet the artists, ask questions, and enjoy conversation about their performance, training, and musical backgrounds. It is always a warm, engaging, and memorable time.

If you would like to join us for the luncheon, please RSVP soon—space is limited and tends to fill quickly. RSVP by emailing Barry at [email protected]

We look forward to seeing you on June 24 for an inspiring concert and a wonderful afternoon together.

Warm regards, Texas Bach Festival
