Happy 250th Birthday, America❣️So many thoughts came flooding in as I posted about the store being closed this July 4, 2026. ❤️🤍💙

Pupology is a first-generation American, Texas-born & bred, woman-owned small business.
By the grace of God, I’m here, and the business I was called to create is, too. Both facts I’m proud to share.

My parents were born & raised in Florence, Italy. 🇮🇹 They lived thru Mussolini’s reign & the German invasion of not only their country, but of their literal homes. 🏡 If not for the bravery of the USA, and the kindness of US soldiers ~ that showed them compassion and gave them food, my family & I would probably not be here.

My dad came to the USA & settled in Clute, Texas, joining his older sister who married the love of her life - an American soldier from this tiny town. My dad’s parents and his younger sister also left Italy to start a new life in the USA. 🇺🇸 That was my dad’s dream. He saw America as the land where people were kind, people could prosper & grow, people could make dreams become a reality. My family assimilated fully into the American way of life, learning the language, working (often multiple jobs), becoming involved in their community & church, building upon their dreams of a better life for themselves & future generations.

I love my big Italian family❣️ They taught me about faith, hard work, compassion, character, honesty, and taking pride in where I come from and in all I do. My dad passed away in 2019, on the day I was scheduled to open Pupology. I postponed the opening by a month & opened July 5th, 2019.

He always dreamed of starting his own business. He never saw me open mine. I know he is in Heaven cheering me & my amazing team on ~ excited that his American dreams continue to be fulfilled, not only through me, but my entrepreneurial brother & sister, our big ‘ol US & Italian families, and the countless others who share his desires for a great America & who are doing their part to make it that way.

This July 4th…on America’s 250th birthday, I’m grateful for so much. I’m grateful for my family, my husband, our five fur babies (and Hank, Charley & Georgie in Heaven)…and each of you!! 🙏🏼 Thank you for supporting me these past years. I’m looking forward to the future.
