Last week was a 5 day, 10 hour a day jury trial. Today, I began deconstructing my trial boxes and found these cute doodles my client made in her notes during trial. These doodles are the proof of nerves, not boredom. The safety of the little girl in their care meant everything to them and they have been scared for her for months.

The jury unanimously gave my clients full custody and full rights to the sweet little girl they call "Squish." Carry on, Squish. You're home.

After a frustrating Friday, it was nice to wake up to a new review reminding me that it is still worth it.

Thank you to a fabulous client who should take some credit for making my job easier and who managed to use my motto in the review--get it done.

She has done what all the other lawyers said couldn’t be done… I have several priors and prior pen trips against me and she got one of my felony’s dropped “the worse of the 2” ,and got me time served on the other one… Before hiring her they were offering me prison time over and over and in just a couple months she got me off without having to go back to jail.. she is amazing and I recommend anyone who feels like they’re not getting what they want in the court room to hire Jo because she’s going to get it done..
