Happy Equinox friends ❤️
Sun in Aries, Spring/Autumn Equinox- Time to Rise Up from the Ashes, Glorious New Beginnings, Your Passions Are Calling...A Change Is A Comin
On March 20th, we have a very important day filled with many new beginnings. The Sun which rules our ego, life force and vitality, shifts from the watery sign of Pisces into the fiery sign of Aries. Not only that but we welcome the official astrological new year, with this entry into the first zodiac sign. This day also heralds the beginning of the powerful Spring Equinox for my folks in the Northern Hemisphere and the Autumn Equinox for my folks in the Southern Hemisphere.
The Sun in Aries, Spring/Autumn Equinox is here to bring passion, action and excitement back into our lives. This is the dawn of whole new beginnings where we can begin again renewed and ready to take on life. Aries' energy is anything but shy and timid. This next season wants us to wake from our previous slumber with a renewed sense of wonder and the fire in the belly to make our dreams come true.
After a very emotional and heavy Pisces season( we still do have Mercury/Jupiter/Neptune in Pisces) we are ready to move forward with a sense of purpose, action and clarity. No other sign is as ready to make it happen as a lit up Aries. These folks are made to take charge and their ingenious ability to remain curious, open minded and aware are some of their best traits. Another manifestation of Aries energy is entrepreneurship. If you have been thinking about starting a biz, this is a perfect time to get it off the ground. Even more so as we currently have all the planets in direct motion. In fact, I began Astromomma during Aries season( her 5th birthday is next week on 3/25).
The Sun in Aries, Spring/Autumn Equinox is ready to inspire you to new heights of self mastery and self love. Even in a world of confusion and chaos, there is a magical portal opening for unlimited adventure, self realization and progress. Our eternal Winter has transformed into a vivacious Spring. As mentioned above, the cosmos are fully supportive of any new venture, business, project or inspiration that you might have wanted to try. Aries energy is the Fool card in the tarot deck. The Fool card is about trust, faith and the belief that anyone at any time can begin again. It is never too late. If your heart calls you forth, honor its wisdom and nudge of brilliance.
For the Sun in Aries, Spring/Autumn Equinox, I have decided to write another poem dedicated to this new season. You all seem to like my poetry. I am so grateful for all of your love and support. Happy birthday to my daring and dashing Aries folks out there!!
Sun in Aries, Spring/Autumn Equinox Poem
May you remember the everlasting Spring within your soul
and let go of any remanence of the coldness of Winter + the world
You were born to be FREE
It is your birthright and the stand that you give to future generations
May you never doubt your ability to rise up again and again
Your tenacity + strength is seen and appreciated
May you be the light to others who cannot access their own
May this next season remind you that there is still purity and kind people in the world
Even in a world that at times has seemed to lost its humanity
May you be the one who lights the path forward towards peace for ALL
With no one left behind
May you enjoy the sweet smell of a new season's possibility for renewal
You are safe
You are AMAZING
You are doing a great job at this thing called life
You are a miracle incarnated
You are LOVE + LOVED

It is nearly New moon 🌝 time.
With a clean slate and fresh intentions this is the time to cleanse, purge and get your self care routine in order!!
New Moon in Virgo- Cleansing + Purging the BS, A Pure Heart of Intelligence + Service, Nature's Whispers + the Love of Critters
On September 6th, we have the refreshing and grounded New Moon at 14 degrees of Virgo. In the few days leading up to any new moon, the energy is tense and palpable with uneasiness and anxiety. With no moon light to guide our sensitive souls, we can often feel quite lost and listless. Being a Full Moon baby by birth myself, I often notice this cycle of the moon makes me feel quite empty and emotionally drained.
As soon as the New Moon cycle approaches however, there is a feeling of the slate being wiped clean, a fresh cycle of possibility and a new dawn of faith restored. Virgo, the 6th sign of the zodiac, is known to be critical, health conscious, hard working, detail focused and service driven. As the summertime slowly comes to an end here in the Northern Hemisphere( and Spring approaches in the Southern Hemisphere) it is time to get back to work and school and to dust off the holiday vibes and embrace new routines and daily tasks.
The New Moon in Virgo is here to cleanse our spirit and to remind us of the beauty of efficiency and getting back to the basics. I love this time of year for many reasons. I often think of it as a great reset around our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. Since Virgo rules the 6th house of health and wellbeing, we will be uber focused on getting back into holistic health routines, cleaning up our diet and strengthening our bodies. Getting back to the basics around our self care will be very highlighted at this time. Although Virgo energy can represent the critical workaholic, there is an earthy and simple vibe that wants to be reestablished by the cosmos. When you strip away all of the unnecessary fluff and distractions, all that is left is the natural wonder of our earth and the beauty of mother nature’s bounty of abundance.
The New Moon in Virgo wants to bring you back down to the wonderful and refreshing energy of simplicity, dedication and service to yourself and others. No other sign is as service oriented and helpful as a loving Virgo. These folks practically live for the helping hand they can offer folks and while this is super noble and beautiful, they have to watch out for the tendency to over give and wear themselves down to the bone. This is a great time to offer your assistance to any cause or charity of interest and to go the extra mile around your career and work. Just make sure that you are also setting healthy boundaries and leaving time for crucial self care and nurturing of the self. Filling up your own cup before pouring your goodness into another is always a good idea.
Wherever you have Virgo in your natal chart, is where you will be sure to begin new projects, ideas and plans connected to your health and wellbeing as well as devising a dedicated plan connected to hard work and efficiency. This is also a good time to wipe the slate clean + to literally clean out the closets, dust off the windows and scrub down the floors. Cleanliness is next to godliness, as my Virgo ascendant grandmother always says. A renewal of our sense of duty and attention to detail will also be helpful in this purging and cleansing process.
At the time of the New Moon in Virgo, we will have some more earthy vibes from the cosmos to add to the Earth sign party of order and purpose. Mars, the planet of aggression, purpose and action, currently in the sign of Virgo will be making a lovely 120 degree trine aspect to retrograde Pluto, the planet of power, transformation and intensity, who is currently in the sign of Capricorn. Mars in Virgo trine retrograde Pluto in Capricorn will add a surge of committed action and transformation around our health, work and dedication to our tangible existence. Since both planets can be rather”full on” in nature we will have to watch for tempers and passionate displays of anger and hostility if this motivation and dedication to our goals goes too far. On the higher vibration, this is a great aspect to begin a new workout or career plan and to motivate ourselves to get back to business with gusto and determination.
The New Moon in Virgo is here to cleanse our spirit and to remind us of the noble act of being of service and hard work. There is nothing more sexy and attractive( in my opinion) than someone who is humble and dedicated to their path and mission. This New Moon wants to ground your spirit with a soothing hand of practicality mixed with a dash of intellectual wonder. It is time to get outside and to rejoice in the love and beauty of mother Gaia. The 6th house also rules pets( hence the critter reference in the title) and this is a great time to connect + spend time with animals + all wildlife. Sometimes when I feel overwhelmed or just over this human existence, I will take myself out to the park with my dog Milo and we spend time looking at the birds, squirrels, and other dogs walking by. Mother Nature + her creatures are always amazing and this New Moon wants to reconnect you to the wonder, awe and power that she offers.
The New Moon in Virgo is here to give you a leg up on being efficient and detail oriented, remind you of the closets to clean + the wellness routine that is calling your name and the love of simplicity + the simplicity of love.
