BeLocal Georgetown
Georgetown showed up. 🎭
After 4 feet of floodwater filled The Palace Theatre on January 25th, it would have been easy to wonder if the curtain had fallen for good… but not in this town.
The community rallied. Donations poured in. The W.D. Kelley Foundation contributed $100K. Pillar Architecture Studio rolled up their sleeves. The “Save a Seat” campaign gave every one of us a way to be part of the comeback.
And this Friday, May 29th — The Palace is back. ✨
Jesus Christ Superstar takes the Springer Stage and we couldn’t be more proud of this community.
80% of the way to the fundraising goal — here’s how you can help bring it home:
🎟 Buy tickets to a show
💛 Save a seat

The show must go on. And in Georgetown, it always does. 🤍

DESCRIPTION
Join us for a live, hands-on photography experience led by nationally recognized photographer David Valdez, Founder of the Texas Photography Festival.
This event was created specifically for Georgetown business owners who want to elevate their brand and show up with confidence online.
This is not a sit-and-listen class. You’ll be learning by doing.
📱 Bring your iPhone, because we’re heading outside.
We’ll start on the historic Georgetown courthouse steps, where David will guide you through simple, practical iPhone tips & tricks to improve:
• Lighting
• Composition
• Framing
• Real-world shooting techniques
Then we’ll walk the Square together, capturing photos in real time so you can immediately apply what you’re learning.
Afterward, we’ll head over to Mesquite Creek Outfitters (MCO) where you’ll:
• Review the photos you took
• Learn how to choose your strongest images
• See how small adjustments can elevate your visual presence
You’ll walk away with photos you can actually use—and the confidence to keep creating.
✨ This is a free, 90-minute workshop hosted by BeLocal Georgetown as part of our mission to support and strengthen our local business community.
Donations to The Williamson Museum in David's honor are appreciated.
Spots are limited to keep this interactive, so be sure to RSVP.
