What you don’t see a lot of times in kids portraits is that they are not always happy and in the mood for photos.

This sweet little girl just turned one and all the separation anxiety kicked in. Instead of getting her to pose, we just went with the flow.

I know parents can get anxious and overwhelmed but as your photographer and friend, please hear me - let them be kids. They don’t understand all of it but capturing their little personalities is all can do. Let it be.

What a dream this session was! Baby M was fast asleep for the entire session.
