Foundations aren't like plants 🌴, they don't wilt and catch our attention to water them.
Texas has had temperatures 🌡 in the triple digits 🔥☀️ for months and I guarantee your soil is dry around your home 🏡.
When the soil pulls away during a drought and becomes dry it contracts and shrinks. This shrinkage can cause your foundation to sag, which causes cracks in the foundation.
When it rains and the soil expands, it can do so unevenly filling in the gaps and cause your foundation to swell and become uneven. This also causes cracks.

The easiest way to keep any shifting and swelling from occurring is to keep your foundation healthy by watering it. I'm not saying you have time to stand outside and water your house every night. I do suggest you buy a few 100 feet of soaker hose and start soaking your foundation every other week, at a minimum.
