Horses are relentlessly spurred until their sides are cut open. Leverage bits, designed to amplify a rider's force, are harshly yanked, causing pain and distress. Horses are beaten, injured, and broken in the name of entertainment.
The law is clear. The suffering is undeniable. Yet no one in Illinois, including Governor JB Pritzker, will take action to end it.
