This article is worth the read. Stereotypes, such as men are tough, not kind, do a disservice to us all, and in our opinion, evolves out of the same place that sexism against women does.
Why the 'nice guy' penalty disadvantages all workers Research suggests that men are distrusted and passed over at work when they exhibit qualities stereotypically assigned to women. Fixing this would benefit all of us.

The need for the ERA is ever present.
Less than 12% of August job gains went to women For August, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported 235,000 jobs gained nationwide, with hospitals contributing 3,200 jobs to that total. However, only 11.9 percent of the 235,000 jobs added last month went to women, reports the National Women's Law Center.
