It was an honor to join the Phelps community at Seeley B. Parish Post 457 to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America. As we reflect on the courage and sacrifice of those who secured our independence, we're reminded that the freedoms we enjoy today were earned by generations of Americans willing to defend them. Thank you to the Phelps American Legion for hosting such a meaningful ceremony and for all you do to keep our nation's history and the spirit of patriotism alive.

As a former journeyman machinist, I know firsthand the value of learning a trade and building a career with your own two hands. These students have chosen a path critical to our economy and communities.
