Stepping into the Old Chicago Post Office felt like walking through a time capsule.

Built in 1921 and expanded in 1932, this massive Art Deco landmark once sorted nearly 20 million pieces of mail a day. After sitting vacant for decades, it was reborn through one of the largest historic rehabs in the country—transforming over 2.5 million square feet into a vibrant hub for innovation, design, and community.

Being here reminded us why we fight to preserve places others might call "too far gone."
This is proof that with vision, patience, and the right team, even the most neglected spaces can thrive again.

We left inspired and recharged—ready to keep pushing for the future of Gary Union Station and every other site with a story worth saving. 🧡
