I used to just want to photograph faces.
Eyes. Lips. Cheeks.
The parts people try to conceal or highlight —
I wanted to catch them mid-blink, mid-smirk, mid-thought.

I fell out of love with photography
when other lenses started to mimic my angles.
My contrast. My quiet. My shadows. My spaces.

At first, it stung.
But then I remembered:
They don’t see what I see.
They faded.
I stayed.

Started in 2016.
Learned how to own it in 2020.
Still capturing pieces of people.
Still giving them back, whole.

Iceland 2018.
This trip was too layered to unpack in a single post.

Day one felt like a reset.
I walked through Reykjavik with a camera, shooting strangers, locals, light, and shadow. I got caught staring at architecture like it was moving. It felt ancient and futuristic at the same time.

Iceland might be the only place that’s ever made me feel grounded. Not small, not lost — just still.
