Having an armor bearer is important because we were never meant to do life alone. Having someone who supports you spiritually, emotionally, and relationally provides strength, accountability, and encouragement--especially during life’s battles.

If you are in a desert season, your life may sound like, "If you're a good God, then why does my life look like this? Why am I not happy? Why did this happen to me?"

Desert seasons are biblical. All the saints had them.

Deserts compel introspection. Introspection elucidates lament. Lament turns to desperation. Desperation facilitates dependency. Dependency illuminates divine grace.

You can hold both joy and sorrow. Don't avoid the desert. Do be honest in the desert.

The women of GACC feel blessed to have attended the "Discovering Divine Grace in Desert Seasons" retreat, where we deepened our faith together and experienced God's presence in a powerful, uplifting way.

We have nothing to bring to God except for the acknowledgement of our sin, and yet we've been accepted as His beloved children.
