Occoneechee Council Jewish Committee on Scouting
09/08/2025
We will be hosting our Second Annual Scout Sukkot on Sunday October 12th at 5pm. Sukkot is a weeklong Jewish holiday, five days after Yom Kippur, that celebrates the gathering of the harvest and commemorates the miraculous protection provided during the forty year exodus in the desert after liberation from Egypt. We will have the opportunity to celebrate the four species—lulav (palm branch), hadas (myrtle), arava (willow) and etrog (citron)—and dwell in a sukkah.
The event will be held at the home of one of our leaders in Southwest Durham, near The Streets at Southpoint, (close to I-40). For security reasons, please direct message, or email [email protected] for location and details.
