From arriving in the U.S. alone at just 10 years old to becoming a former Vice Chairman of AT&T, HSF Alum Ralph de la Vega’s journey is a powerful testament to resilience, determination, and the transformative power of education.
With the support of an HSF Scholarship, Ralph earned his engineering degree and went on to lead at the highest levels in the telecommunications industry, including serving as CEO of AT&T Mobility, before founding the De La Vega Group. Today, he continues to make an impact by serving on boards such as American Express, New York Life Insurance Company, Amdocs, and the Latino Donor Collaborative.

This year, UC Irvine partnered with HSF to help families take the next step toward higher education through the College 101 program. This free, bilingual program for students in grades 6–12 and their parents, helps equip communities with the tools to prepare, plan, and pay for college. Together, we’re turning possibilities into real pathways.

The virtual 2026 Young Leaders Summit is officially complete! We give thanks to our Supporting Sponsor Target and Friend of YLS Coca-Cola for all their support.
