Learning happens everywhere.
In Family Literacy, play is more than fun. It supports communication, problem solving, confidence, collaboration, and early literacy development.
These moments of curiosity and exploration help build strong foundations for future learning, both in school and beyond.

In one classroom, you might hear multiple languages, stories from across the world, and families helping one another navigate life in a new community.
Learning Lab students come from dozens of countries and bring incredible strengths, experiences, resilience, and knowledge with them. We are proud to be a place where families can continue learning while building connection and community here in the Treasure Valley.

One of the things that makes Learning Lab unique is the number of caring adults who show up consistently for students and families.
Moments like this may look simple, but they matter deeply. Sitting beside a child, encouraging creativity, practicing conversation, and building trust all support learning in meaningful ways.
Thank you to the volunteers and community members who help make Learning Lab a welcoming place to grow.
