First attendance to the here in Farmington, Nm. 2022 is the year of the apple for the Dineh_Comp riders. A challenging one it was with 15 miles of fast single track that started and ended with a couple of miles of mixed road/trail sections.
Emma Finished 4th in female 15-18. She experienced a lost of energy/power on the latter end of the race she says was due to the lack of training on her part. It’s Great that she is aware of what she can work on before the next race.
Owen finished 5th in 15-18 mens. He said there was a section where his front tire washed out and he had to bail of the bike but with a quick recovery was back on trail to finish up the race.
Jaden finished 2nd 🥈in 15-18 mens just behind team mate. Jaden explained some disappointment in having his water bottle unable to get placed back easily due to his repair kit sliding down and getting in the way. After rider awhile with his water bottle in his right hand he was back on pace. While speeding back up on the second part of the course he had a small front tire wash out which quickly turned into an OTB due to a “bush getting in the way.” 😆 A quick recover and back on the course he finished just over a minute and half after first place finisher.
Great time of racing and learning new challenges. Now time to reflect and prepare for the next one.
