Happy Father’s Day to the man who never asked for recognition, never sought the spotlight, and never measured success by anything other than the well-being of his children.
Sixteen years ago, Reece made a decision that changed our family forever. After earning his master’s degree and building a career in interior design, he stepped away from it all to take on what I believe is the hardest and most important job in the world—being a stay-at-home dad.
He sacrificed career opportunities, personal ambitions, and countless things for himself so that our five children could have everything they needed. He was there for every school drop-off, every doctor’s appointment, every difficult conversation, every celebration, every heartbreak, and every victory. While I was traveling, speaking, building Comfort Cases, and chasing a mission, Reece was doing the work that made all of it possible.
He is the true definition of a father.
Not because of grand gestures or public recognition, but because of the quiet, consistent, unconditional love he gives every single day. He doesn’t need awards. He doesn’t need applause. He doesn’t need his name on a stage. His greatest hope has always been that our children grow into kind, respectful, compassionate human beings who contribute something good to this world.
There is no way I could have done this without him.
Today, on Father’s Day, I want our children—and everyone else—to know that the foundation of this family was built by a man whose love has never wavered and whose sacrifices often went unseen.
Reece, thank you for choosing us every day for the last sixteen years. We are better because of you. I love you more than words will ever adequately express.
Happy Father’s Day. ❤️
As we head into this special weekend, I’m taking a moment to reflect on freedom, family, and gratitude.
Juneteenth reminds us of the strength, resilience, and courage of those who fought for freedom and justice. It’s a day to honor the past while recommitting ourselves to building a future where every child and every person is seen, valued, and given the opportunity to thrive.
This weekend is also filled with meaningful moments for our family—from the rededication of Pleasant View to celebrating Father’s Day, and one of my greatest joys: having all five of our children home together. Those moments don’t happen often, and they remind me how precious time, connection, and community truly are.
As you head into the weekend, I hope you’ll take a moment to pause and reflect on what you’re grateful for. We are all connected in this beautiful tapestry of life, and it’s through compassion, understanding, and love that we continue to move forward together.
Wishing you a weekend filled with reflection, joy, and meaningful connections. ❤️
