One year ago, we took a leap of faith and poured our hearts into Grape Escape Kentlands with one simple dream… to create a place where people could gather, laugh, connect, unwind, and feel at home.

This weekend reminded us why we did it. ❤️

Even with the rain pouring outside, you all still showed up. You came in soaked from the weather, filled our bar with conversation and music, raised glasses with us, supported our small business, and celebrated this milestone like it was your own. That kind of love and support is something we will never, ever take for granted.

There were moments this past year that were exhausting, stressful, and honestly scary. Small businesses aren’t easy. But this community — YOU — kept us going. Every glass of wine shared, every trivia night laugh, every musician you clapped for, every beer ordered, every kind word, every person who walked through our doors… it mattered more than you know.

Thank you to Lone Oak Brewing Co. for creating our anniversary beer and being part of this celebration with us. And thank you to every single person who spent this rainy Memorial Day weekend with us and reminded us what community truly looks like.

Grape Escape is more than a wine and beer shop to us. It’s become a living room for this community. A place for friendships, first dates, celebrations, music, conversations, and memories. Seeing people continue to choose us — rain or shine — honestly brought tears to our eyes this weekend.
