There may not always be time for crafting in all the busyness of our lives. But there is always time to find something - anything, big or small - for which to be grateful.

So we are going to try something new here on r.ann.c. When there isn’t a craft project or video to share with you, I will share one gratitude for the day. I invite you to share yours in return in the comments or a DM. Or if you would rather, just take a moment to hold your gratitude in your heart.

I will do my best to log on each day, and this way, we will hold each other accountable. Maybe it will be so small as to be inconsequential. Or maybe it will be life changing or even world changing. Who knows. Let’s just see where it takes us!

My light blue yarn was discontinued so I’m starting over on my blue granny square blanket. I was nine squares in when I got the bad news so I was able to make a big square from those, which I might make into a pillow. They were my first squares and my first time joining squares so they are a little wonky but my recovering perfectionist self is accepting this as part of the learning process.

I made a giant granny square with my remaining yarn until I couldn’t granny square anymore. Again, a little wonky because I started with a 4mm hook and then switched to a 3.5mm hook. We will see if wet blocking corrects the loose, puffy middle. Again, recovering perfectionist self is rolling with it!

Still need to decide what to do with the giant granny square. I need to learn to sew so that I can make pillow inserts but I might just frame it and hang it on the wall!

I am digging how these blues match my pants! It will be my chambray blue blanket!
