Rahab's Rope
05/30/2026
For Vicki Moore, faith has always been at the center of Rahab’s Rope. “I grew up in a family of strong Christian faith with people who set the example of always helping others,” she shares. “Much of the mission of Rahab’s Rope is built on the verse 1 John 3:18, ‘Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.’ From an early age, I saw that people experience God’s love more through our actions than our words.”
That truth came alive when Vicki heard the story of a young trafficked girl. “She said she was never allowed to go to school, couldn’t read or write, and couldn’t get a job. She wasn’t asking for a handout—she wanted someone to teach her how to do something. That was my call to action.”
Since then, she has seen God’s hand at work in countless ways. “Through the actions of love and kindness, teaching literacy, vocational skills, and God’s word, we see women that believe they have no value and no hope completely transform. When they realize there is a God that loves them and people that care and want to help, they believe hope and a different life is possible.”
This impact extends to children as well. “We began tutoring in a high-risk area where school drop-out was around second grade. We are able to help them stay in school and now have students in college. Through these actions many students have become believers and that has extended throughout their family.”
Vicki emphasizes that her role is not driven by ambition, but by obedience. “What I do is not something I would have chosen. But I know God put this path in front of me and said, ‘Go.’ My actions are those of faith and trust in God, not my own will or ambitions but a desire to bring God’s love, dignity and hope wherever He leads me.”
For her, faith is not separate from the mission—it is the heartbeat of everything Rahab’s Rope does.
