Celebrating historic preservation month

“People Saving Places” is the theme for this National Historic Preservation month! To celebrate, Mayor Harvey Ward presented a special proclamation to members of the City of Gainesville’s Historic Preservation Board: Jay Reeves, Mangye Vivian Filer and Phil Haight. We thank all “historical place savers” for giving their time, energy and resources to protect our shared past. We also are proud to share the city’s museum, the A. Quinn Jones Museum & Cultural Center, is featured in Preservation Magazine of the National Trust for Historic Places.
