Last night we had the honor of celebrating Perry C. Barnett on his retirement!
Throughout his career, he has been an integral part of Rushton—leading the international division and playing a key role in the foundation of Rushton Wealth Management—and that only begins to scratch the surface of all he has contributed over the years.
Perry’s impact extends well beyond the firm. He has been a profound presence in the community over the years, serving as Chamber Board Chair, a member of the UNG Business Advisory Council, President of the Jaycees, and contributing his time and leadership in countless other ways.
As a colleague, mentor, and friend, he has made a lasting impression on so many and will be truly missed. We wish him nothing but the best in this next chapter!

Still catching up on sleep after the time change?
While you're adjusting the clocks, it might also be a good time to catch up on your retirement contributions.
Beginning in 2025, the SECURE 2.0 Act introduced an enhanced catch-up contribution opportunity for individuals ages 60–63. During this four-year window, individuals can contribute even more to their 401(k), 403(b), and similar retirement plans than the standard catch-up amount.
For many people nearing retirement, this small change could make a big difference in long-term savings.
Want to learn more about how much you may be able to catch up?
Give us a call at 770-287-7800 or email us at [email protected] to discuss how these new rules could impact your retirement planning.
