Today, we are recognizing another graduating senior from the P.K. Yonge Engineering Pathway and Roaring Riptide family, Nicholas Warren!

Over the past several years, Nicholas has contributed to Team 4118 in a variety of ways, supporting mechanical, programming, electrical, imagery, and assistive technology efforts throughout his time on the team. From helping build robots to assisting with adapted toy projects, Nicholas has helped keep Riptide moving forward with spirit, versatility, and a willingness to jump in wherever support was needed.💙❤️

Nicholas will be continuing his education at Santa Fe College, studying Engineering. We are proud of the work he has put into both the engineering program and robotics over the years, and we look forward to seeing where his path takes him next! 🌊

Congratulations, Nicholas, and best of luck in this next chapter! 🎓

Our coach, our rock, and our inspiring leader. ❤️💙

At the 2026 Tallahassee Regional, our coach, Leigh Anne Brewster, was awarded the Woodie Flowers Finalist Award. Coaching our team for about a decade, Ms. Brewster deserved nothing less than this recognition, for all of the hearts she's touched, and all of the spirits she's lifted.

From the late nights in the lab working closely with team members, ensuring students feel proud of their creations, to being the shoulder anyone can lean, laugh, or cry on, Ms. Brewster has been the lighthouse of our team, being a guiding light for others. She's taught our team that when you lead with your heart, you can create an impact larger then yourself. "Most importantly, she reminds us that what we build is not robots, but people."

Ms. Brewster, we cannot express how much we are grateful for you. We are so proud, and so honored to be students under your mentorship. You continue to teach us that using technical skills to build robots is great, but what's greater is using those technical skills to give back. You are the Lifeguard that Riptide needed.

Congratulations to Ms. Brewster for earning this incredible award! 🌊

It's time to dive into Day 9 of Riptide Shoutouts! Let's give a swimmingly amazing shoutout to Lorain, a freshman, and a 1st year member on Riptide with previous FLL experience!

Although this is Lorain's first year with the team, she has already created ripples of impact throughout Riptide! She's worked in mechanical, electrical, IMPACT, AND Assistive Technology, showing how being well rounded in all aspects of our team is what makes you a true Lifeguard! Lorain is always curious, and isn't afraid to ask new questions and learn something new! It's great to have you, Lorain!🛟❤️🤖
