Insects Alive
02/16/2017
1.Submissions can be either sculptural or animated. No 2‐dimensional entries will be accepted (e.g. drawing, painting or photography on a flat surface).
2.Each participant may submit one entry per category: sculpture and animation.
3.Submissions can be original work from individuals or teams of up to 3 people.
4.Each submission must incorporate one or more of the 3D files provided by the Insects Alive contest in some way. Changing, adding, subtracting, or any other artistic modification of these files with any medium is encouraged. If you choose to 3D print and ant, cast it in metal, then carve it, paint it, and knit over it, we are very excited to see your entry. Ditto on deconstructing or printing many pieces that are assembled for the final piece.
5.Submissions are due by 5pm on March 15th, 2017 in the Marston Sciences Library. Sculptures must be ready to be displayed (the actual sculpture rather than a photograph of the sculpture) and animations must be submitted on a jump drive. More details on the submission process will be available in early March.

6.Entries will be evaluated by an interdisciplinary panel of judges. First prize is $500.
