✨Welcome to the Magick of June!✨

Hello all Magickal Beings, Haunting creatures, and Witches of Wonder!✨💕✨

Welcome to the Public Grimoire: 2nd Edition: Chapter 5!

In our 5th installation of our Monthly Public Grimoire we delve into the magick surrounding the month of June, and all the passion, Magick, and wonder that it holds!

Remember, take what resonates, leave what doesn’t. Your practice should remain unique to you and you alone! Feel free to skip sections that you do not care to read for at this time, and take the time to read the sections that jump out at you!

💕The Magick of June✨

The 6th month in the year brings with it love, passion, magick, and wonder! It is a time of celebration for all walks of life, love, and vibrancy. June is fitting as PRIDE Awareness month, as it is also a time of frolicking fae. The sabbat of Litha celebrates the Summer Solstice and the longest day of the year, continuing the march of time forward.

This is a time of abundance, connection, fae activity and reflection on personal growth through the year so far. Freedom to be one’s self is a prominent trait of June, consider finding ways to incorporate your truth into your practice and learn to advocate more for yourself. It is not selfish, it is self care!

How do you like to celebrate your practice in June? Let us know next time you are in the shop or email us at [email protected] , We would love to hear from you!

☸️Sabbats to Recognize:

Midsummer: The Summer Solstice:
Northern Hemisphere: June 20th-22nd
Southern Hemisphere: December 20th-22nd
Around the globe, Summer Solstice has long been a day to celebrate the sun in its full glory. The Earth is tilted in a way that half of the globe receives energy from the life giving star, The Sun. It is the longest day of the year, with the most hours of sunlight stretching between sunrise and sunset. Whereas the other half is experiencing the shortest day of the year. The wheel is in balance.

Trees fully develop, plants have grown tall, and ample cover and shade can be found for all matters of life! The solstice is often a time of abundance, vitality, and fruitful harvest. Earth dances in the full rhythm and swing of life, embrace this newfound energy into your own!

Some may recognize Litha, or Midsummer, as a celebration of the Sun King; others as the time when the Oak king, who represents light, is defeated by his older brother, the Holly King, representing darkness, where he’ll rule until Winter Solstice when the Oak King Rules once again. The Catholic Church adopted Litha as the feast day honoring St. John the Baptist. It is also the first official day of summer, which brings a psychological freedom and ease and a sunny optimism- a time when all things are possible.

The Element of Fire is important to midsummer rituals and spell works, whether a bonfire, campfire, electric lantern, or other alternative. Following tradition, toss some lavender onto the fire to drive away evil spirits.

In regards to kitchen witchery, it is time to get cooking in the great outdoors! Enjoy the weather, and harness the element of an open flame to cook and bless your meals. If you cant cook outside due to burn bans or intolerant weather, cook your meal inside then set up a table outside, or consider opening a window by the table while you eat to appreciate all that nature has to offer during this time of year.

🌻Celebrating Midsummer:

Celebrating Litha is all about the Sun, growth, and ease of energy! Channel it in any way that brings you light, joy, and happiness.

Here are some simple ways of implementing Beltane into your practice:
🌻Smile, and light up someone's day
🌻Get outside! (Don’t forget sun protection!)
🌻Make a batch of Sun Tea, with herbs from your kitchen garden for extra charm
🌻Hang a suncatcher in a window
🌻Attract fairies to your garden by incorporating shiny objects, wind chimes, or fresh water
🌻Admire the sunset and make a wish- its sure to come true
🌻Evaluate and shine a bit more light on those intentions that may not be growing so well
🌻Gather fresh herbs to keep the plants producing and honor their efforts by placing them in a vase on your altar, drying them for later use or incorporating them into your everyday meals
🌻Garnish your food and drink with edible flowers in honor of the Fairies
🌻Walk barefoot… in the sun-warmed grass, on the beach, in your garden… and let the protective grounding energies fill you. (Please check the areas you would like to walk first for any sharp or pointy objects!)
🌻 Watch the busy bees pollinating the trees and plants, then stir a bit of honey into your tea
🌻Host a Barbecue
🌻Have a Picnic with friends and loved ones

✨Cosmic Events Far & Wide:

This Section was Written By Jessica, aka: The Cosmic Swamp Witch, 2026

⭐️ About the June Astrology 🌟
June is the cosmic coffee break before July pops off with a shower of fireworks, so plan your upcoming moves accordingly. We start the month brimming with energy from May’s blue full moon in Sagittarius, which gives us insight into the future, allowing us to spot and remove blockages that lie ahead of us. It’s best to take advantage of this energetic boost, because at the end of the month we have some transits that could make forward motion much more logistically difficult.

This month invites us to take action, remain flexible to changes in our plans and continue pressing forward on our quests. Be sure to nurture your connections during this time, as light conversations could spark bigger insights amongst you and your community.

🌑New Moon in Gemini Themes + Ritual ♊
The new moon in Gemini is our annual invitation to achieve depth through lightness, conversing with the Divine as it manifests in all creatures on Earth.

Idle chat is not often held in high regard, but it should be. There is no better way to find your people than by making new connections-lots of them. Small talk is only small until you get to know someone, then the conversation deepens. It is impossible to reach the depths without first wading through the shallows. Give yourself a new outlook on light conversation, framing it as the gateway to true bonding that it is. Open your mind to the experiences and attitudes of others and they will do the same for you.

The ritual for this new moon is designed to open you to new connections and encourage their organic growth, free from expectation or anticipated outcomes.

Gather what you have of the following:
• Smoke, spray, or bell
• Printout or drawing of The Lovers card
• Candle holder or small plate
• Two pieces each of aquamarine and angelite
• Lemon
• Sharp knife and cutting board
• White taper candle
• Glass of water

1. Clear the energy of your space, then close your eyes and take three deep, cleansing breaths to ground yourself.
2. Place the image of The Lovers in the center of your altar area with the candle holder or small plate on top of it.
3. Make a square around the candle holder/ plate using the crystals to mark the corners as follows: aquamarine back left, angelite back right, angelite front left, and aquamarine front right.
4. Cut the lemon in half and coat the candle lightly in lemon juice. Put the candle in the candle holder or melt the bottom slightly to stick it to the plate.
5. Light the candle, then close your eyes and spend a few minutes feeling the joy of friendship in your heart. Begin by thinking about existing relationships that are easy and fulfilling. Then imagine the space in your heart that holds them is growing, opening, and waiting to offer and accept more wonderful relationships in your life.
6. Squeeze the rest of the lemon into a glass of water and drink it slowly while sitting with your candle.
7. Let the candle burn until it goes out on its own.

🌕 Full Moon in Capricorn Themes + Ritual ♑
The full moon of Cancer season is in the opposite sign of Capricorn. The full moon in Capricorn is our annual opportunity to clear out any outdated beliefs or wounds that are keeping us from pursuing our goals.

The Cancer/Capricorn axis teaches us to observe and adjust how we invest our energy and what we gain from that investment. To feel deeply secure requires both emotional and material wellness, yet too often we hyper-focus on one to the detriment of the other. Your heart and your head are not enemies. They are on the same team, working to keep you safe and sound. Pay attention to any fears of lack that come up and take steps to soothe or solve them. Any energy used to shore up your sanctuary is well spent.

The ritual for this full moon is designed to gently illuminate and release limiting beliefs, and fill your heart with divine love and support.

Gather what you have of the following:
• Smoke, spray, or bell
• Small dish of water
• Printouts or drawings of The Devil and The Chariot cards
• Pen
• Black obsidian, small enough to fit in the dish of water, and rose quartz
• Two strawberries

1. Clear the energy of your space, then close your eyes and take three deep, cleansing breaths to ground yourself.
2. Place the small dish of water in the center of your altar.
3. On the back of the image of The Devil, write any belief or recurring thought that keeps you from working toward your goals. (If you have trouble thinking of something, ask yourself what your worst critic would say if you told them what you plan to accomplish.)
4. Rip the image of The Devil into small pieces and submerge them in the water, then place the black obsidian on top of them.
5. Cover the dish of water with the image of The Chariot.
6. Hold the rose quartz to your heart and spend a few moments breathing pink light in through the rose quartz and exhaling gray smoke.
7. Place a strawberry in front of the dish as a thanks to the universe and eat one to thank yourself.
8. When you are through performing the ritual, remove the obsidian from the dish and dispose of the water and paper.

🔄 Mercury Retrograde + Jupiter in Leo ♌
On June 29 we will see the first sparks of the fireworks show when Jupiter, the planet of expansion, spirituality and opportunity follows Venus into Leo, the sign of leadership and creativity, on the same day that Mercury officially stations retrograde in Cancer, also during the micro full Moon in Capricorn. That’s already a lot of movement in a short amount of time, but wait — there’s more.

This Jupiter transit fans the flames that the Neptune + Saturn conjunction in Aries sparked earlier this year. This transit also creates powerful tension from the Pluto in Aquarius opposition. This push-pull dynamic will highlight themes of the collective vs the self, forcing us to reckon with a final answer in a very visible way. Pluto being retrograde until October will have us looking backward from the earlier stages of the transit and demanding justice where the balance has fallen short.

Mercury stationing retrograde in Cancer highlights where we might be experiencing dysfunctional communication about our needs while all of this tension ramps up. Uranus in Gemini adds multiple layers of chaos to the entire mix, with could look like seemingly random additions and unexpected conversations that change the entire dynamic. This is gossipy, chatty and prone to miscommunication.

I’ve broken down the themes where you will be experiencing expansion in the Leo areas of your charts, based off your rising sign.

Be sure to check out the previous transit outlooks to see how the big picture comes together for you personally.
• Pluto in Aquarius
• Uranus in Gemini
• Neptune + Saturn in Aries

✨June’s Spell of the Month✨:

🌻Midsummer Talisman Bag🌻:
A talisman bag is a small cloth bag that you can wear or carry with you in your day to day life, filled with special things that have meaning to you. Think of it as a mini altar you can take with you wherever you go! It should be small enough to fit in your pocket but some people prefer to bind it with string or leather cord and wear it as a necklace under their shirts, closest to their hearts. Your talisman bag is something you can grasp and hold in your hand when things get stressful or when you want to ground yourself. It is there to serve as a reminder of your own personal power, and the support you have from the world and spirits around you.

You will need:
-About 1 square foot of fabric. (It can come from an old piece of clothing, or you can go to a fabric store or second hand store and find cloth in a pattern, material, or color that resonates with you!)
-A permanent marker or fabric paint.
-A dinner plate or Round lid (in other words, a large circular template to trace)
-Scissors
-Yarn or Leather Cord(about twice as long as the plate is wide)

Steps:
1. Trace the plate onto the fabric, then cut it out. If you want to decorate the fabric with a marker or fabric paint beforehand! Consider drawing a sigil, symbol, or writing a short phrase or sentence that is significant to you.

2. Draw twelve dots around the circle, as if you were marking a clock face, about an inch away from the edge. Use Scissors to cut little holes at each mark.

3. Weave the yarn or cord through the holes, under-over-under. When you reach the end, pull tight, and the bag will cinch shut.

What to put inside your talisman bag?
Consider including items that have a personal or special meaning to you- the same kinds of things you'd put on an altar but on a smaller scale. You can add things you find on your nature walks into your pouch to serve as reminders of your nonhuman friends, such as:
✨An Acorn
✨A dried Flower
✨Dried Berries
✨A small feather
✨A seedpod
✨A special pebble
✨A pretty shell
✨A pinecone
✨A coin from another country
✨A crystal
✨A small figurine
✨A photo of a loved one

You can fill your talisman bag with herbs like lavender. Marjoram, or rosemary to make it smell good. You can also talk to your talisman bag or even sing to it to foster a deeper connection. Consider sleeping with it under your pillow, hold it when you are sad, and squeeze it gently when you are laughing or feeling especially joyful.

Your talisman bag will grow to contain some of your personal power the more you carry it around, and when you're feeling like you need a confidence boost, it can lend some of your own magick back to you!
