This , we're spotlighting MRI research advancing treatments for muscular dystrophy! 🧠

Led by Dr. David Hammers in the UF Department of Pharmacology and Therapeutics, the lab is developing non-invasive MRI methods to track skeletal muscle injury and regeneration over time.

Graduate student Julian Febo Tirado is investigating how MRI scans can be combined with biological markers to better understand what's happening within muscle tissue and develop more clinically relevant biomarkers.

This University of Florida work aims to provide clinicians with more sensitive tools to evaluate therapies for neuromuscular diseases such as Duchenne muscular dystrophy, helping accelerate the development of new treatments.
