With one sparkling mostly blue eye, one warm brown eye, and a smile that could brighten anyone's day, this gorgeous girl turns heads—but it's her gentle, friendly spirit that truly steals hearts.

🌹 At just 1–2 years old and 45 pounds, Powder watches the world with curious eyes and lights up when treats appear.

🌹 She is friendly and sweet, observant and well-mannered, and still young enough to embrace every new adventure life has to offer.

🌹💔 Powder's story began with uncertainty. She was found running along a highway before being surrendered. She is learning to walk on a leash and will thrive with regular routine and in a loving home of her very own. 💕

✴️ Gorgeous tan-and-white short-haired husky-hound mix with the most beautiful eyes with hetereochromia (one brown, one with mostly blue)

✴️ Enjoys petting
✴️ Treat-motivated, loves treats a bunch!
✴️ Relatively calm and well mannered
✴️ Active and energetic
✴️ Learning to walk on leash. She is still young and does not pull but will lay down and may need some coaxing with a gentle hand and treats. She recently came into the shelter and will do much better in a home where she feels more comfortable and with regular routine.

..This oh-so-gentle, sweet and soulful, teddy bear-loving German Shepherd is searching for a soft place to land and call H-O-M-E!! 🏡

🌹 Bama is
✨ Sweet.
✨ Loyal.
✨ Well-mannered.
✨ Full of quiet love and tenderness.
✨️ Playfully gentle.

🌹 At 8½ years old, Bama recently lost the home he knew through circumstances beyond his control 🥺 and sadly finds himself searching for what every dog deserves—a soft place to call home and someone to love. 🌸

🌹 Bama isn't looking for much, but this gentle senior boy sure deserves the best 💯 --
🐾 a family to love,
🐾 TLC and attention,
🐾 a comfortable place to rest and play in his golden years, and
🐾 someone who will see the wonderful dog he is behind those soulful eyes and graying muzzle.

🌹 Bama isn't demanding. He isn't bouncing off the walls for attention or trying to steal the spotlight. Instead, this handsome senior German Shepherd waits ever so quietly behind the kennel gate, hoping someone will come soon to spend time with him to see the wonderful dog he truly is and want to love him and take him home. He hopes and he dreams of a loving home and better days.

🌹 💫 Senior dogs have a way of loving differently. They don't need to impress anyone. They simply want companionship, kindness, and a place where they feel safe and loved.💫

Bama is exactly that kind of dog.💓
✨ Gentle, easygoing, and incredibly well-mannered
✨ Enjoys affection, loves treats, and seems genuinely grateful for every bit of attention he receives
✨ Soaks up petting and love
✨ Thrives on companionship
✨️ Still spry and youthful, enjoying himself to retrieve a ball or carry a squeaky toy or teddy bear around.

🌹 Despite being a senior, Bama still has plenty of life left to enjoy.
🐾 He loves walks, enjoys being outdoors, is curious and observant, and is an absolute dream on leash.
🐾 He still likes to run, play, and explore, while also appreciating the simple pleasures of life.
🐾 Even during a mild shower in the play yard, Bama wasn't phased a bit and simply enjoyed life to the fullest despite the rain. He even patiently stood by while being towel-dried, soaking up the attention and showing just how gentle, patient, and well mannered he truly is.
🐾 On another visit on a sunny day, Bama soaked up the sunshine and enjoyed immensely playing with toys and stuffed animals and getting treats. He loves treats, takes them gently, and will even sit for treats, too. He is very handsome in person and quite smart!

🌹 During all his play yard time, Bama happily explored and had the best time enjoying the fresh air and companionship! 💞🧸 He even proudly carried a pink teddy bear around the play yard as if it were his greatest treasure. 💯

💫 This was adorable and also a heartbreaking reminder 💔 ...
🧸Here was this beautiful senior German Shepherd cutely carrying a teddy bear everywhere in the play yard.
🥺 But in reality, Bama has no place to call home or even toys of his very own...truly -- just a sweet soul who simply wants comfort, love, and a family to call his own.

🌹 Bama deserves more than a kennel during his golden years.🙏 He deserves a comfortable place to rest, room to enjoy the outdoors, and people who will give him the love, companionship, and TLC every dog deserves. 💕

✴️ Easy going and laid back, relatively calm and polite
✴️ Still spry and youthful, enjoyed walking around the play yard and enjoying his time in the fresh air
✴️ Loves toys! Loves to chase a ball or carry a squeaky toy or teddy bear around
✴️ Curious and observant
✴️ Loves to explore, go for a walk
✴️ Loves to run and play
✴️ Enjoyed picking up a teddy bear in the play yard and walking around the whole play yard with the teddy bear in his mouth (as a play toy and like a source of comfort...on both play yard visits!)
✴️ Knows how to sit for treats, loves treats immensely, treat-motivated
✴️ Prior home reports not good with cats, so no cats for this boy
✴️ Dream on leash. Walks very well and no issues with mobility. Great on leash and easy to handle.
✴️ Prefers outside, "lived outside" previously. He did wait to potty outside and kept his kennel clean.‼️Bama is a senior GSD. He needs a home with love, attention, good nourishment, and TLC where he can enjoy a balance of the comforts of home, mental stimulation, and time outside to have a healthy and happy life!...He deserves a comfortable place in his golden years to rest and relax but also a place to walk, run, and play; get exercise and mental stimulation; and enjoy being a German shepherd dog.🐾
✴️ Note: There was a rainshower (no storm) while we were out in the play yard the first day. Bama enjoyed the cooling off from the heat of the day and being towel dried. He felt much more refreshed after his playtime and "shower" and was smiling back in his kennel and ready for a nap. He was very easy to handle and loved being dried off with a towel, standing patiently by my side. He is a very gentle and easy going boy!
✴️ Note: visited Bama again on a sunny day, and he was feeling really good and had the best time. He is a pretty easy going fella and so very gentle! He is still quite youthful and has great mobility...he enjoyed chasing after toys and jogging around the play yard. He is very, very sweet! Such an awesome gentleman!
