CMWA – First State Dual Tournament

CMWA wrestled in our first state dual tournament this weekend, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish.

It was a lot of fun coaching a group of athletes who gave 100% every time they stepped on the mat. You could see the growth happening in real time—getting better with every match, competing hard, and refusing to back down.

Our more experienced wrestlers really stepped up, showing strong leadership in the heat of battle. They set the tone, encouraged their teammates, and helped lead this group through every challenge we faced.

Strong showing for Spring Hills Wrestling at the 2026 Western Regionals Championships. Proud of every athlete that stepped on the mat and competed with heart against some of the best wrestlers in the West.

🏆 Highlights:

William Hesz — Double Champion, 10U FS & GR Champion at 105 lbs
Jay T Farrell — Greco Runner-Up and 3rd Place Freestyle at 110 lbs
Chayton Nielsen — Greco Runner-Up at 88 lbs
Damian Campos — 4th Place in both Freestyle & Greco at 59 lbs

Every point matters, and these athletes represented Spring Hills with toughness, grit, and character. A lot of our wrestlers battled through deep brackets, gained valuable national-level experience, and continue to grow.
