Weâre excited to announce our master class presenters at the 2025 NASA Region 2 Conference at CSUF! Proposals to perform on a master class are now being accepted. We are currently seeking up to 10 classical performances and 3-4 jazz performances to be assigned to each master class. Classical soloists (with or without piano), pre-formed chamber ensembles, jazz soloists, and pre-formed jazz combos are all welcome to apply. Proposals close January 12 at 11:59 PM PST. Peter Sommer, Professor of Saxophone and Jazz Studies at Colorado State University, will be featured on Evening Concert II, performing original compositions!

Dr. Rhonda Taylor, who has been on the faculty at New Mexico State University since 2003 and serves as Associate Professor of Saxophone and Music Theory, will be performing her original composition based on chaos theory during Evening Concert II!

Saxophonist Joseph S. Lyons and his group TECH.tonl will be presenting their original composition âMelismatic Murmuration #4â on Evening Concert II.

Saxophonist Patrick Olmos and his group, Syrinx Quintet, along with pianist and composer Kevin Day, will perform three works by a California-based composer on Afternoon Concert III!

Weâre excited to announce the concerto soloists for the opening concert of the NASA Region 2 Conference! We look forward to hearing Bonson Lee perform Jorge Machainâs âPOLARITIESâ for baritone saxophone, chamber winds, and percussion; Edward Goodman perform Kevin Dayâs âUnquiet Watersâ; Sarah Hetrick, Stephen Page, Nathan Mertens, and Shawna Pennock perform Viet Cuongâs âSecond Natureâ for saxophone quartet and wind ensemble; and conference host John Hallberg perform Kenneth Fuchsâs Rush.
