Teach Past 2PM

Time lapse during the long weekend.
We planted Alaska peas together in class.
We will be watching how they grow (or not grow), and it doesn’t matter even though they wither before they grow. It’s all part of the fun!!!

컵 하나에 콩 다섯알씩! 잘자라라고 물도 정성스레 주고, 햇빛도 쐬어주고.
잘 않더라도 뭐 괜찮은. 심는데 의의를 두는 스타일.
타임랩스는 언제보다 재밌죠.

“What I Am Thankful For” Turkey.
Inspired by , I finally did it.
It’s much easier and more doable than I thought and we all had a lot of fun.
I used the oil pastel and kids were super excited since it’s the first time we used the oil pastel.
Some kids were really talented in mixing and smudging in colors. (Way better than what I showed them!!!)
Also enjoyed having a small talk with the kids(which I never have time usually) while we are coloring all relaxed.
During the art time, I learned that one of my shy boys has a pet bird named “Love”.
I also learned one of my girls is seriously into anime drawing(and she is extraordinarily talented).

오늘 처음으로 오일 파스텔로 추수감사절 터키 만들고 깃털 하나하나마다 우리가 감사한 것을 그리는 미술시간을 가졌습니다.
매번 물감만 쓰다가 오일 파스텔로 그리니 아이들이 너무 즐거워했고 오일 파스텔을 이용해 색깔을 섞거나 문질러서 색을 퍼지게 하는 요령을 가르쳐주니 가르친 제가 민망할 정도로 너무 멋지게 잘 하는 아이들도 많았습니다.
또한 그림 그리며 조용히 즐기는 동안 이런 저런 이야기도 하니 아이들을 더 잘 알게 된것 같아 좋았습니다.
평소 말 잘 안하는 조용한 아이가 키우는 새의 이름이 사랑인것도, 전혀 그렇게 안 보이는 여자아이의 취미가 만화그리기인것도 오늘 알게되었습니다.
이모저모로 즐겁고도 한 걸음 더 아이들과 가까와진 시간이었습니다. 보통 땐 그냥 영어, 산수 하느라 정신없이 지내는데 가끔은 이런 시간이 너무 소중한 걸 다시금 느낀 하루였네요.
