The timing belt snapped while driving through Colorado at 75 mph, and the engine was destroyed. AAA towed me 88 miles to Grand Junction. The Subaru service department did a great job with a prompt diagnosis and tried to find a used engine, but I ended up purchasing a used Outback instead. Salesman Jack Garrison was really helpful and put together a good deal to get me back on the road. His special efforts, and the work of the rest of the dealership team were appreciated.
