🍷✨ An unforgettable night with an incredible bottle — Domaine Philippe Livera Côte de Nuits-Villages 2022.

From the first pour, this wine just sings… vibrant red fruit, silky texture, and that beautiful balance that makes Burgundy so special. Every sip opened up a little more — layers of cherry, subtle spice, and a smooth, elegant finish that lingered just long enough to make you go back for more.

Gave it about 15 minutes to breathe — honestly, it deserved 30… but still absolutely amazing and continued to open up beautifully in the glass.

Even better when shared with great company and good conversation.

Found this gem in downtown Philly — huge thanks to Fine Wines & Good Spirits on Chestnut for the impeccable variety.

Cheers to all — but on this night, especially to volleyball moms and dads. 🍇🥂

✨ An unforgettable evening with Contadi Castaldi Brut Franciacorta ✨

There’s something truly special about opening a bottle of Franciacorta — and tonight did not disappoint. 🇮🇹🥂

From the first pour, the fine, persistent bubbles set the tone. On the nose: delicate white flowers, crisp green apple, and hints of citrus. On the palate: beautifully balanced, vibrant acidity with notes of pear, almond, and a clean, elegant finish that lingers just long enough to make you reach for another sip.

Crafted in the heart of Franciacorta using the traditional method, Contadi Castaldi delivers sophistication without pretension — a sparkling wine that competes confidently on the world stage.

Perfect as an aperitivo, stunning with seafood, and equally at home celebrating life’s biggest (or smallest) moments.

Salute to exceptional craftsmanship and the art of Italian bubbles. 🥂🍾

Spent some time with the 2021 Amici Cabernet Sauvignon.

Very much a classic Napa Cab profile… ripe dark fruit, noticeable oak, solid structure, and clearly well made. Everything is in the right place and there’s nothing “wrong” with it by any means.

That said, it didn’t really move me. No sharp edges, no real surprises, no moment that made me pause.

Perfectly fine, easy to drink, and would work in plenty of settings. In the end, just not a bottle I’d go out of my way for.
