Sarcoma Spotlight: Tom Boardman

When Tom’s grandson was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma, he knew he couldn’t take away the treatments—but he could take action. “I found RIS, and I said, this is it—I’m going to get involved, for Levi and for others like him.”

As a dedicated RIS volunteer, Tom channels his love for his family into advocacy, education, and support for sarcoma patients everywhere.

We are grateful for Tom and all our volunteers who help bring hope, awareness, and progress toward a cure. 💛

Toni was diagnosed in 2020 with myxoid liposarcoma after months of unexplained pain. She underwent major surgery, chemotherapy, radiation, and continued treatment across multiple locations.

Even during her journey, she devoted herself to supporting others affected by sarcoma and volunteering in the patient community.

Toni has since passed away, and is remembered as part of Sarcoma Awareness Month for her strength, advocacy, and commitment to helping others.
