The ending of my fire poi performance for the ribbon cutting ceremony of O-iza. A super fancy restaurant specializing in Japanese fine dining.

Got more of these hybrid style fire breathing movements to share with you. The next utilizes one torch and has been in the works for a couple months. This is the most common one I utilize. They are less common moves you will see though because they use an expensive product. I've invested lots of $ with what you will see in the near future.

The fire mop is the largest flame effect hand held fire prop that I am aware of. Over half a gallon of white gas in under 2 minutes. This video is over 9 years old. Footage taken from one of our burns (fire practices) in the foothills. Easily top 5 favorite experiences playing with fire. I've only used this effect in a couple fire shows because of the danger factor and only add it by request now. It's a massive flame...15 ft+ at times and can only be performed in perfect conditions. I got shut down in the video by one of the fire safeties.....so she starts playing with it and gets shut down. Just listen to the comments and you can hear how impressive this prop is to witness with your eyes in person.
My favorite comments...
"That puts a ton of sh*t to shame."
"This is such an accident waiting to happen."
"You need more fuel Mark, you don't have enough fuel."

I learned this move sequence from one of the godfathers of poi a long time ago. It's a 540 low spin to 540 high spin. He and I are the only ones I've seen use it. It's my absolute favorite movement with fire poi. You'd think it'd be the orbital like most poi spinners but I'm into the more dancy movements. The first 540 is from a forward spin, the second from a reverse spin. The footwork alone requires work without the poi. What takes weeks of practice to perfect gets displayed in a fire show in just seconds. Movements such as these, in my eyes, are the epitome of fire dance.
