In honor of National AHEC Week, we would like to share amazing work that some of our AHEC scholars are doing!

"In celebration of hashtag , we are celebrating SFCCC's cohort of hashtag !

On March 7th, the SF AHEC Scholars built 350+ hygiene kits for our Street Outreach Services (SOS) team to distribute to patients experiencing homelessness while conducting important outreach and care connections. The SF AHEC Scholars learned about the services SOS provides and enjoyed working together to build hygiene kits for our unhoused neighbors.

AHEC Scholars are health professions students who go above and beyond their academic instruction by committing to expand their community health knowledge. During their time with the SF AHEC Scholars Program, students are exposed to the variety of public health and social services programs that make up San Francisco's health safety net, making them stronger members of the hashtag . We would like to thank the National AHEC Organization and the California Statewide AHEC Program for their support.
