This morning we finished a new roof over an existing outdoor kitchen for Chad & Tonia Copsey. This project was challenging and had me scratching my head on several occasions. But the results are extraordinary and I couldn't be more proud of how it turned out.
Starting with 20" diameter support pillars that had to be dug by hand under an existing deck. 6" x 6" polycarbonate support posts with fiberglass rebar, which were extremely heavy. 11 7/8" x 36' LVL support beams that sat into notches cut into the polycarbonate supports. (6) Solar powered sky lights with retractable between the glass blinds and finally steel corrugated roofing. FYI Chad & Tonia's house is right on Lake Erie which meant we had to fight with mother nature on more than one occasion.
I had plenty of sleepless nights both before and during this project, but my team pulled through and we were able to provide the Copsey's with the shelter from the elements they were looking for.
Special thanks to Matt Lochotzki for the help with the concrete support pillars and Stephen Lohr for the gutter & downspout.
Thank you for having faith in me and the BOS Construction & Remodeling team. Enjoy!

Last week we finished a new back deck for Mike & Robin Mohr. Their original deck was failing and there was steps from the back door down to the deck. We removed and disposed of the existing deck/steps and built a new wooden deck that is level with the threshold of the back door. We added a set of 4' wide steps to the right of the back door with custom wooden railings. We built a wheelchair ramp to the left of the back door to make getting up to the new deck level easier. The new deck as well as the wheelchair ramp also included new custom railings.
We absolutely loved working with Mike, Robin and Brad. Thank you for the endless supply of gatorade, water and cookies! We are thankful for you choosing us to build this deck for you. I know you'll get years and years of enjoyment out of it.

Today we completed a bathroom remodel for Jeff Atzinger and his wife. This is the only full bathroom in their house, so we worked as quickly as possible. Luckily for us, Jeff, his wife and kids were very patient. But, their patience paid off as they have a beautiful new bathroom to enjoy. They purchased a new vanity, shower surround with tub, flooring, vent, light and fixtures. The original opening for the tub was a little undersize, so we had to plane down one wall to get the new one to fit. A little drywall repair and some new baseboard and casing trim and it was done.
We really enjoyed this job and look forward to working with these great people again soon.
