And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28
This is one of the most powerful verses in the Bible in my opinion. This verse tells us that for us that love and serve God no matter what the situation is, no matter what's happening at school at work or even at home God WILL work it for good.
Let's take a look in the book of Esther at Mordecai and what's going on at that time.
You see Mordecai was just a jew he was nothing special in the kingdom at the time, but he refused to bow and give honor to the king's number one guy Haman. This made Haman angry and he devised a way to kill Mordecai and all of the Jews. However God was working. When the king remembers what Mordecai did to save his life he wanted to honor him. The king asked Haman what he should do. Haman in his selfish ambition told the king what to do thinking it would be done for him. Then the king commanded Haman to do all he advised for Mordecai the man Haman hated. Afterwards Esther allowed the king to know Haman wanted to kill Mordecai and all of the Jews so the king hung Haman instead. Then Mordecai became famous and revered in the kingdom!
Only God could have caused this evil act to be some to Haman instead of Mordecai! Only God could have turned death into victory! Only God can turn the evil against you into glory for Him. God can and will turn all the bad in your days into good because you love Him and He loves you!

Fairness...What is fair and what isn't?
You worked really hard on that project at work hoping for the promotion just for the job to go to a fresh college grad with no experience.
You cleaned the house all day so your spouse could rest and relax when they got home just for them to say you didn't do it right!
You went to school and got good grades always did your work just to be passed over on a scholarship to an "average" student!
That's not fair you scream! That should have been me! Should have been mine you exclaim! You kick and scream until you're blue in the face yet it does no good and makes you look foolish.
Well I'm here to tell you there is only one place where everything is fair. One place where everyone there gets what they deserve. Unfortunately that place is called hell. Everyone in hell had the same opportunity the same gift the same way to get out of going to hell yet every single one of them chose not to!
Life may seem unfair at times but let me tell you this. Nothing and nowhere is more unfair than heaven! Did you just gasp? I'll explain...... In heaven no soul there deserved to be there. Every single soul there was a sinner, an outcast, liar, thief and so on. Every single one of them deserved to go to hell with the rest. Yet we serve a God so righteous so loving and merciful that by our faith alone He gave us everlasting life in His kingdom!
You see what's not fair to God is that we were given perfection through creation just for us to destroy what he created. It wasn't fair that God had to boot Adam and Eve from the garden. It wasn't fair God had to flood the earth. It wasn't fair that He had to send His only Son Jesus Christ to die for us simply for us to have a seat at his table.
Next time instead of crying about fairness stop and thank God for the seat he made for you at his table.
Do you make it a point to teach your children about Jesus? Teach them the fear of God? To instill in them righteousness, love, mercy and grace towards others? Teach them the commands of God?
In the Bible throughout the old testament we see a lot in Judges where the older generation didn't teach the younger generation of the mighty power of God. We also see where once the older generation died the younger ones fell from God. They fell to idols and other "gods". They followed the world and left God.
Much like today's society everyone wants God removed from anything public then have the audacity to scream where was God when this or that happened!
Same as the Israelites. They left the commands of God and when they fell into captivity famine disease and other awful things they cried out to God why?
My point? You can't let your children "learn" on their own to follow God. Your job is to teach them and show them the way. Because if you don't the world will show them the path to hell!
