Meet Kyle! ⚡
Kyle got his start in the trades working in solar before transitioning into the electrical division at MSS Electric — where he’s been ever since.
His favorite part about working here?
“I truly feel this is my home. We all have the same get-it-done attitude and flow like we’re all one human.”
His favorite type of work? Service upgrades, panel swaps, and new construction rough-ins.
Outside of work, Kyle is all about family — cooking together, playing cribbage, or getting outdoors. Come summer, you’ll probably find him somewhere on a lake in Maine.
We’re lucky to have him on the team!

Current project in Portland, Maine.
Our electricians are roughing in this 4-story new construction project across all four floors — from panel locations and lighting to outlets and wiring throughout the building.
Always cool seeing a project at this stage before the walls go up.
The trucks got a fresh new look.
A huge thank you to Banana Banners — who have been decaling our vehicles and creating our signage for over a decade. When you find people who do great work, you stick with them.

At MSS Electric, Trenor is working toward his license — logging hours and learning on real job sites every day. Connor talks about having the resources and education to keep building his skills.
Every job here is led by a master electrician — our journeymen are training to be masters and apprentices are learning the trade hands-on.

Just completed this new construction job. The homeowners got full home electrical service and shed branch circuit wiring, plus this 100 amp sub panel for their shed.

Winter in Maine is hard on a house — including the electrical.
Here are 6 things worth checking now that spring is here, before yard work season kicks in:
✅ Inspect outdoor outlets — frost and ice can crack covers and damage wiring over winter
✅ Test your GFCI outlets — press test & reset in kitchens, bathrooms, garages, and outdoors
✅ Check outdoor light fixtures — look for cracks, corrosion, or anything that doesn't look right
✅ Check outdoor extension cords — before yard work, make sure they're rated for outdoor use and free of damage from winter storage
✅ Test smoke & CO detectors — and replace the batteries while you're at it
✅ Check your electrical panel — look for rust, a burning smell, or breakers that keep tripping. Any of these are signs to get it checked.
