Ever wonder what bears do in September? They're not heading back to school or watching football. It's bulking season, they want to eat and eat and eat!

They enter what is called hyperphagia, which is an intense period of increased appetite and feeding activity prior to hibernation. They may spend up to 20 hours a day looking for food!
