I am pleased to announce that Chad King Wilson, Sr. has been confirmed by the County Council to serve on the Frederick County Board of Education for the remainder of a term to end December 2026. With 19 years of experience as an educator, as well as being a parent, coach, and advocate, Chad has a strong understanding of the complex challenges facing the Board.

During his hearing, Chad stressed the importance of creating inclusive and welcoming schools. He also shared his full commitment to prioritizing FCPS students in his work and making a meaningful impact for our educators and families in the Frederick County community. I am so grateful to him for stepping up, and for his detailed, transparent, and deeply personal testimony during his Council interview this evening. I am confident that he will hit the ground running!
