As the new agriculture and food systems extension educator, I will be hosting three "Coffee and Conversations” farmer breakfast events in July and August. These are casual events where we will share a meal and get to know each other. I will also share information about the University of Maryland Extension and provide some farm safety and farm stress resources.

This one is a special meetup to begin developing a statewide network of Veteran and military connected Farmers, gardeners, and homesteaders!

Don't forget to sign up for the exciting pasture walks that Maryland Forages has coming up! The next one is Tuesday June 23rd at the Western Maryland Research and Education Center in Keedysville, MD (Washington county). This pasture walk will feature a mixed-species grazing system with sheep and cattle.

Something special has been growing at Rose Hill Manor Park - and it’s finally time to celebrate 🌾

The Seed to Harvest Exhibit Barn is ready to open its doors, creating a new space where visitors can explore Frederick County’s rich agricultural heritage through exhibits, historic equipment and educational experiences that connect the past, present and future of farming.

Join us for the official ribbon cutting and help celebrate this exciting new addition to the park. Guests are invited to arrive at 10:00 am to connect with members of the agricultural community before the ribbon cutting begins at 11:00 am.

After the ceremony, stay and enjoy vendors, activities, partner booths and more until 2:00 pm.
