I used to think creativity had a shape.

A stage.
A camera.
A performance.

And for a long time, that’s where people knew me from.

What I’ve been learning lately is that creativity doesn’t disappear when one chapter ends. It expands.

These days it shows up in teaching, writing, building, translating, questioning, and following ideas that won’t leave me alone.

As I get closer to 50, I’m finding myself less interested in fitting inside a single container and more interested in seeing what happens when I stop choosing just one.

Not less.

More.

More forms.
More permission.
More room to create.

VD: An eight-slide visual essay featuring photographs from different chapters of my life as a Deaf artist, performer, filmmaker, educator, and creator. Images move from early theatrical and performance work to filmmaking, teaching, and reflection. Text explores how creativity evolves over time and how growth can open new forms of expression rather than replace old ones. The final slide reflects on approaching 50 and discovering new rooms to create in.
