Hello and Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a peaceful holiday season and gentle new year! We got through another year, we’ve all grown and we’ve changed so much. It has truly been an honor and a pleasure to work with all of you amazing people, and I am very proud of how far we’ve come. I literally could not have done this without you, and from the bottom of my heart, thank you.

I do have an unexpected announcement; as many of you already know, I have been planning the move to Blue Moon Studio’s final location with the amazing Laura Duncan of Carbon Foot Lab for this new year. Due to various delays outside of all of our control, the move has been delayed for the time being while the paperwork and construction are still underway. This does NOT mean the end of Blue Moon Studio (or Blue Lotus Alchemy) by any means, just that we are going through a lunar eclipse period. This venture is going to be worth the wait, providing not only a handicap accessible space for ALL of our people, more space (which means more different kinds of services for you), but also a stability for Blue Moon Studio’s location so we do not have to move ever again and can officially make Dacono our home. We were originally very heartsick about this decision as we love what we do and providing you with nourishing and relaxing treatments brings us joy and enrichment in a way we cannot fully express. Now, we have pivoted to a place of gratitude and hope; gratitude that the ship is not going down as it were, but simply taking a pause (how January), and a hope of the dream of the spa we can create for you. Some of you have followed me through my moves over the years, and I cannot thank you enough for your continuing trust in me and my skills. It is not a responsibility or a gift I take lightly.

For those of you who have services already booked for January, I will be reaching out to you individually to TEMPORARILY cancel your appointment (you can always reach out to me too, same as always). Normally, I would offer to reschedule (fingers still crossed for February, February is Blue Moon’s anniversary month so it always seems a little lucky to me) but to avoid any further disappointment of possible delays (gotta love bureaucracy right?) I would prefer not to risk it as we value your time and schedules as well. We are not available for mobile services at this time due to insurances and licenses required to legally offer these services. If that ever changes, we will certainly let you know though!

For those of you who purchased gift cards during the holiday season (or before it), those gift cards are still good! Normally, we do not offer refunds for gift cards or allow them to be used for product purchase but we have decided that during the lunar eclipse period, you will be able to do so if you wish! If you would prefer a refund for your gift card, we understand and please simply reach out to us for processing. We are still preparing for the future and all that it has to offer, and remember; the moon will always come back from an eclipse.
