On June 19, we commemorate Juneteenth, the day that marked the end of slavery in the United States and a pivotal moment in our nation's history.

The Frederick County Commission for Women honors the strength, resilience, and contributions of Black women—past, present, and future—whose leadership, advocacy, and perseverance continue to shape our communities and inspire progress.
