The Frederick County Commission for Women is excited to join and walk in this year’s Frederick Pride Parade in celebration of love, inclusion, and community.
We are honored to stand alongside so many individuals and organizations who uplift and support LGBTQ+ voices in Frederick County. Pride is about visibility, dignity, and the ongoing work of creating a community where everyone feels safe, valued, and seen.
We look forward to celebrating with you on the parade route—sharing joy, connection, and solidarity as we continue working toward equity for all. Happy Pride, Frederick! šŸ³ļøā€šŸŒˆ

On June 19, we commemorate Juneteenth, the day that marked the end of slavery in the United States and a pivotal moment in our nation's history.

The Frederick County Commission for Women honors the strength, resilience, and contributions of Black women—past, present, and future—whose leadership, advocacy, and perseverance continue to shape our communities and inspire progress.

As we celebrate freedom and reflect on the ongoing pursuit of equity and justice, we recognize the importance of learning from our history while working together to build a more inclusive future for all.

Today, we honor. We remember. We celebrate.

This month, we honor the diverse voices, vibrant traditions, and inspiring stories that enrich our community and remind us of the importance of inclusion, representation, and cultural appreciation.

Join us in celebrating Caribbean Heritage Month and recognizing the invaluable contributions of Caribbean women today and every day.
