There are some amazing things that can happen with time and patience!

I had a class this afternoon who we have been working with her on anxiety and fear with PTSD as she was a breeder dog and was used to just make babies and she hated the kennel. Before starting her on kennel therapy she was extremely fearful of it, wouldn’t go near it while a person was near it and if she was manually put in it would panic the whole time. When we started her on kennel therapy, on day one we were able to lure her half way in with her front paws in and back paws out. Within 5 days she would go in the kennel on her own without life. She would go in and come back out but it was a start. Today we started her on closing the door after we got her in there. She was able to go in there without shaking or crying or fighting but on her own and we could close the door and she was fine. We pushed it to 20 seconds and she probably could have done longer but I didn’t want to push it on the first day. I can’t wait to see her progress as we keep moving forward. She is proof that anything is possible with a caring heart, hard work, dedication and patience.

Congratulations to Frankie for graduating from Basic Obedience! He did awesome with help from his dedicated momma who also rocked it! Great job Melissa and Frankie!
