A Prayer for a Renewed Mind

Heavenly Father, You’re high and lifted up. Seated on the throne, deserving of all the praise and glory. Father God, I come with repentance of fear, doubt, pride, ignorance, trauma and giving darkness more attention than I give You. I need You to teach me to keep my mind locked in on You and unbothered by all these thoughts that keep pulling me away from You. Your Word says, “whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable… think about these things” (Philippians 4:8). So today, I choose stand in truth, peace and faith.

Renew my mind every day. Cleanse me of all anxiety, stress, doubt, trauma, overthinking, bitterness, and every mental attack that keeps trying to replay in my head. Your Word says, “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind” (Romans 12:2 ESV). Change the way I think and perceive. Help me stop feeding darkness and start feeding my spirit with Your truth.

Lord, when my thoughts start spiraling, pull me back into alignment. Your Word says, “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you” (Isaiah 26:3). Keep my mind LOCKED IN on YOU. Keep my heart grounded in truth. Teach me to focus on what You said instead of what darkness keeps trying to plant in me. GET BEHIND ME SATAN.

I cast down every toxic imagination, every tormenting thought, every lie from the enemy. “We take every thought captive to obey Christ” (2 Corinthians 10:5). My mind belongs to Jesus. Fear don’t own me. Trauma done lost its defining factor. Anxiety and every intrusive thought don’t live here no more.

Holy Spirit, help me guard what enters my mind, my eyes, my ears, and my heart. Let my thoughts produce life, wisdom, peace, purity, and self-control. Your Word says, “to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace” (Romans 8:6). So let life and peace rule in me because the Great I Am reigns on the throne of my heart.

Today I declare my mind is renewed by God. I no longer partner with fear or darkness. I have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16). Peace is my portion. My thoughts line up with God’s truth. I choose to focus on all things pure, lovely, and worthy of praise. Because greater is he that’s in me than he who’s in the world (1 John 4:4). HALLELUJAH🙌🏼(tambourines) In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Pray with Scripture

Father in heaven, help me surrender everything I do to You. I know there’s things that I’ve been clinging to but I’m willing to loosen the grip. I don know what it looks like but I know I can trust You. Meet me in the middle. I receive Your help today. In Jesus name. Amen.
