Forrest Crossing Community Association
Residents:
Effective yesterday at 12:30 pm the city declared an Emergency Status 1 Water Shortage in the City of Franklin Water Utility District.
The details of the ban are posted on the city website https://www.franklintn.gov/Home/Components/News/News/11310/1354.
There are conflicts in what is included, and I am trying to get the city to clarify an important piece of the restrictions dealing with home watering of lawns.
You might note on the website that home lawn watering is not included in the restriction, this is in error I believe and this is the issue I am trying to get the city to address on the webpage.
I have a different set of restrictions passed to me from Alderman Potts. The difference is an added bullet in the list of restrictions, it reads:
Watering landscaped or grass areas, with the exception of non-grassed gardens, trees, or shrubs, between 8:00pm and 6:00am using handheld devices.
Road Closure Notification for Thursday, June 6**** NOTICE ****

From the Forrest Crossing Board: FCHOA is a member of the Franklin Association of HOA's with close to 20 HOA members. We feel it necessary to inform the community relative to the development at Royal Oaks/Oak Meadows. The corner development plan on the corner has potentially been modified by the Developers. There was a Planning Commission meeting last night with this item as a topic with no decisions made.
The Planning Commission Meeting will be on March 23 at 7:00 pm in the City Hall Board Room. This meeting is a very important meeting for the future of development on this corner.
Last night was the Joint Workshop of BOMA and the Planning Commission. The agenda was full (hence the 4:30 pm start) so public comments were not allowed.
The greater Franklin Association of HOA's position for this site has been NO allowed use other than restaurants. We are supportive of a 2nd floor on the sit-down restaurant that will house restaurant offices.
The Planning Commission was more open to some other uses on the site, but they were clear of their disapproval of gas station or garden center here.
BOMA members were a bit more on our side, the Mayor and Alderman Potts were more emphatic the use should be held to restaurants and 2nd floor office. Alderman Burger emphasized her belief this corner is important, what goes on at this corner is a “gateway” of sorts to the residential communities beyond.
