Kids makes messes... they leave the lights on for no reason and they leave the water running when they finish brushing their teeth, just because.
Children leave the icebox door open and the cookie jar empty.

But, when you're at home alone and it's dark on the other side the house for no reason and you listen for the water running but you don't hear nothing.... it gives you just a moment of pause to be grateful for the noise these children create, and that is what chases the cold silence away. ❤️
