If you're an out-of-state resident who purchased a vehicle in Kentucky, you may be eligible for a Kentucky Transit Tag to legally transport your vehicle home.

✔️ Available only to non-Kentucky residents
✔️ Costs $5
✔️ Valid for 15 days
✔️ Can be obtained by mail or in person through the Motor Vehicle Licensing Division in Frankfort

Kentucky residents: Transit tags cannot be used to bring an out-of-state vehicle back to Kentucky. In most cases, you'll need to obtain temporary registration from the state where you purchased the vehicle.
